This week saw the launch of the Feed Melbourne campaign that aims to help charities working to combat hunger and poverty in Victoria by raising $1M.
This goal was kick-started by a $100 000 donation from Pratt Foundation that is the philanthropic legacy of the late billionaire businessman Richard Pratt. The money will go to help food charities collect, store and distribute goods to those in need.
With the recession affecting the ability of hard-working providers to feed their families, the Feed Melbourne $1M charity campaign also welcomes food donations, and is keeping an onsite running total of monetary donations.
