As children, we dream of touching the clouds, standing on mountaintops, or reaching lighthouses that tower against the vast ocean sky. There’s something magical about these dreams—they connect us to things larger than ourselves, things that light up the world even in the darkest storms.
This January, you’re invited to make one of those dreams come true with the 2025 Lighthouse Classic, a 12km challenge to touch the iconic Airey’s Inlet lighthouse. Participants can run or walk to raise essential funds for the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute (FECRI). By joining the event, you’ll help shine a light on cancer research and support the search for more effective treatments.
Lace up, join hands, and let’s light the way forward together.
The 2025 Lighthouse Classic is a fun 12km challenge where participants can run or walk to raise funds for cancer research. On the way, we touch a lighthouse in memory of someone who has faced or is facing their own battle with cancer.
Join us for the group walk at 9am on Sunday, 05 January 2025 from the Urquhart Bluff carpark to the Airey’s Inlet lighthouse and back. Or choose your own time and place to complete the challenge during the month of January. Your support will help the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute (FECRI) to shine a light on cancer and identity ways it can be treated more effectively.
