21st Annual Film & Food Fundraising Party: A Toast to the Future of Film

Help keep the magic of screenwriting and filmmaking alive for generations to come.

Are you a movie buff? Have you ever thought of the process of filmmaking? To make a movie, you need an idea. Once you have one, you create a script, and then a storyboard. Once these are done, you put together your cast and crew and look for shooting locations. As soon as you have your set, you can start filming your movie and then post-production comes after. It sounds simple but in reality, a lot of time, effort, and resources are being spent by hundreds of people to make a movie. The whole process of telling a story on film is a wonderful art and that is what’s being taught to young students in Austin Film Festival’s Young Filmmakers Program.

On October 23, the Austin Film Festival will be having their 21st Annual Film & Food Fundraising Party. Happening at Fair Market, Austin, this event aims to bring together well-known people in the movie industry, as well as avid supporters of the arts. Expect delicious cocktails and mouthwatering dishes from Austin’s outstanding chefs, as well as exciting auctions to keep everyone’s spirits up. Proceeds raised from this event will go to Austin Film Festival’s Young Filmmakers Program so they can continue to teach young students for free.

The first movie ever made came out in 1888. It was Louis Le Prince’s Roundhay Garden Scene. The movie industry has gone a long way since then, thanks to the generous hearts and brilliant minds of numerous people. You can help keep the art of filmmaking alive. You can contribute to the development of the next generation of storytellers. Buy your tickets to the 21st Annual Film & Food Fundraising Party here now.
