Glenn Close and Quincy Jones are among those to be honored this year with the AARP Magazine 2009 Inspire Awards.
The Awards are given to ten exceptional people ‘who inspire others to action through their innovative thinking, passion and perseverance’.
Glenn Close will receive the Mental Health Advocate Award Quincy will receive the Global Poverty Fighter Award.
Richard M. Cohen, Martin Eakes, Katherine Freund, Peter Gallagher, David E. Hayes-Bautista, Ph.D., Susan Love, M.D., Rose Nakamura and Alma Powell will also receive honors at the AARP Magazine 2009 Inspire Awards ceremony in Washington on December 8.
