Tenmembers of Animal Liberation Victoria took their anti-whaling protest to the Japanese Consulate in Melbourne yesterday.
The protestors were doused in fake blood and held signs urging the Japanese Government to ‘Ban Whaling’.
With Kevin Rudd now in office stating plans to keep whaling under surveillance the pressure is heating up for Japan over the issue.
…the world is watching and … we’re no longer going to sit idly by and allow this slaughter of up to 1,000 whales in Australian waters
Noah Hannibal, the vice-president of Animal Liberation Victoria, made the comment after the anti-whaling protest had been dispersed.
