On Saturday evening, 22nd November 2025 we will hold our annual Brightlingsea’s RNLI Fish’n Chip supper, and, by popular request, once again we’ll be accompanied by The Hoolies. They will sing sea shanties and create magical musical interludes. Audience participation is welcomed, especially in our raffle.
Considered by most as the national dish of United Kingdom, the iconic pairing of fish and chips first came about in the 19th century. For many, it’s a symbol of comfort, resilience, and community – a true pillar of British identity. This November, this dish will once again bring people together to celebrate community spirit and the people’s connection to the seas.
