The recently gave $30,580 to Our Lady of the Wayside in Avon as part of the Tribe’s new community initiative Fill the House for
Charity. The baseball team donated $5 from each ticket sold by the nonprofit back to the charity. In addition, $1 from every ticket sold for the game on May 13 was also donated. Our Lady of the Wayside was featured in the game day’s Batter Up! program and a scoreboard showcasing the organization. Our Lady of the Wayside Board Chairman Michael Jeans threw out the first pitch, Events Coordinator Danielle Danburg sang the National Anthem while a Lady of the Wayside client, Ann Hutchinson, signed it for the hearing impaired and Jack Smith, the son of one of the board members, announced “play ball.”
