The agents at Baird & Warner are known for their community outreach activities and are at it again with another charity, to benefit the
Ecker Center for Mental Health in Elgin. Through the efforts of the Baird & Warner Goodwill Network, which includes the North Randall Road office, the company has donated more than $1.2 million for charities in the Chicago area — with $100,000 being donated in 2008 alone. The charity run will start at 9 a.m., with the first bike out at 9:45 a.m. Registration for the event will take place at 9 a.m. at the Baird & Warner office at 2255 Randall Road in Carpentersville. Bike drivers pay $20 and riders $10 if you want to follow along in a car, a $15 fee will allow you to take part in the raffles, prize drawings and the final poker hand cash awards. Angell-Case said her organization is happy to start this event this year. “We all know how important mental health is,” she said. “And with the state’s cuts … all of the money we raise will go directly to support the Ecker Center.”
