Baking with Spices: A Dough-litful Class

Attend a baking class and help the homeless lead better lives.

Imagine being in a kitchen filled with the warm, comforting smells of cinnamon, brown sugar, butter, vanilla, and ginger, your hands kneading through sticky, silky dough. The air is alive with the sound of mixers whirring, rolling pins gliding, trays sliding into ovens, and the occasional laughter between instructions. Does this image put a smile on your face? If it does, then you should sign up for Cyrenians’ Baking with Spices. Happening on May 16 at Flavour and Haver Cook School, you’ll learn how to make cinnamon buns, gingerbread donuts and a raised curried potato pie. You’ll also get to eat your delightful creations and even bring them home to share with your loved ones after the class. Proceeds raised will go to Cyrenians in support of their mission to tackle homelessness through prevention, early intervention, and policy changes.
