AN East Devon seaside town rocked its way through a fundraising festival yesterday to raise funds for an Exeter-based charity.
Organiser Steve Riley was hoping lack of sunshine would not deter revellers from joining the fun. He said it was the first event of its kind at Exmouth organised by RB Entertainments, with which he is involved. “Depending on our success we will determine whether we make this an annual bank holiday event,” he said. Fundraising was in aid of Dream-A-Way, adding to the charity’s programme of events over the bank holiday weekend, culminating in a dragonboat race at Exeter Quay today. The Exmouth gig was supported by the Exeter FM roadshow and crowds were welcomed by the three DJs making up Jungle Jim. Bands were drawn from the Exmouth area, including Beat Boxer, Dancing With The Enemy and Simply Situation.
