Be Prepared Not Scared

“Be Prepared Not Scared” Raffle

The Foundation of Public Safety Professionals volunteers are currently distributing free family safety plans to Australian households. The safety plan helps people to know how and what to prepare in the event of a disaster or emergency.

The volunteers are also asking people to purchase $2 tickets in the Foundation’s current “Be Prepared, Not Scared” raffle to help cover the cost of the project.

History shows that 80% of people are saved by local people at the scene of a disaster, 15% by emergency personnel and 5% by specialist rescue teams. It also shows that those who are prepared for the event of a disaster or emergency have a better chance of survival.

The Foundation has also set up a website that enables people to download the safety plan in a Word or PDF format
