Now in its eighth year, Beads for Needs is a Mardi Gras themed celebration for Charlotte young professionals complete with all the pageantry of
Bourbon Street, including live music by Liquid Pleasure, food and beverages from the best area restaurants and THOUSANDS of beads, boas and masks.
This years event will benefit Pats Place Child Advocacy Center, an organization dedicated to focusing the resources of public and private agencies in Mecklenburg County, N.C. to achieve the best comprehensive outcome for sexually abused children.————————

Beads for Needs' mission is to contribute to the intellectual, social and psychological development of underprivileged children in the Charlotte community by raising funds and awareness for nonprofits that provide positive developmental opportunities through effective programs and initiatives.
Beads for Needs recreates the atmosphere of New Orleans' French Quarter at the Wachovia Atrium in downtown Charlotte. Guests will enjoy live music from Liquid Pleasure, all you can eat food from local restaurants, unlimited beverages (beer, wine, soda), and countless strands of beads, all for a good cause!
Pat’s Place Child Advocacy Center will be the beneficiary of the 2009 event. The mission of Pat’s Place is to provide a physical environment where a child's well-being is our first priority, reducing trauma and promoting healing from sexual abuse.
