Current Entertainment News Christopher Biggins will be enjoying a “large glass of wine” to steady his nerves before dancing live on TV.
The 60-year-old will pair up with Pop Idol judge Nicky Chapman to perform a routine on BBC1’s Let’s Dance For Comic Relief on Saturday night. Biggins said producers warned him not to drink too much ahead of rehearsals, but he revealed: “We’re going to have a large glass of wine before we go.” A stellar line-up is taking part in the four-week charity event. Biggins and Chapman face Les Dennis, EastEnders stars John Partridge and Cliff Parisi, Peep Show star Robert Webb and children’s TV presenters Dick and Dom, among others. The show will be judged by Strictly Come Dancing’s Anton Du Beke, Denise Van Outen, Emma Bunton and comedian Michael McIntyre. Viewers will vote for their favourite dancers who will go through to the final on March 14, while the judges will save one other act. All money raised goes to Comic Relief, which supports charities in Africa and the UK. Red Nose Day, which supports the cause, is on March 13. Let’s Dance For Comic Relief, hosted by Claudia Winkleman and Steve Jones, is on Saturday at 6.25pm on BBC1.
