FATHER’S DAY RACE AND WALK: A Father’s Day 5-mile race and 2-mile fun walk on June 21 is for both the competitive runner and
recreational fitness enthusiast. The certified course loops through historic North Easton, around Ames Long Pond in Stoughton and back to the finish at The Children’s Museum in Easton. VOLUNTEERS NEED: The St. Paul’s Table soup kitchen, 80 Pleasant St., Brockton, seeks volunteers to cook, prepare and serve lunch Mondays through Fridays. CAT CLINIC: The STOP Clinic, an organization dedicated to stopping the overpopulation of cats that spays and neuters felines for a low cost, will visit the Brockton Animal Control site at 446 Court St. every Friday. Cat owners must make an appointment in advance to have a cat spayed or neutered. The fee will be $70 for females, $60 for males and includes a physical exam, surgery, rabies vaccination with certificate and a nail trim. MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT: The fifth annual Coley’s Cause Memorial Golf Tournament will take place June 26 at the Poquoy Brook Country Club in Lakeville. The tournament is held in memory of Nicole “Coley†Levine of Raynham, who died Oct. 22, 2004, from complications stemming from a genetic disorder known as Fanconi Anemia.
