REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.- Marty Godwin Tennis on Tuesday announced that it will host a Charity Tennis Tournament on Saturday, May 30, with all proceeds
to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. The WWP is an organization that provides backpacks filled with essentials to soldiers upon their arrival at medical facilities. Each backpack provided costs $99, and contains items such as clothing, calling cards, toiletries and CD players. Marty Godwin Tennis says the tournament will provide service men and women with some comfort during their recovery. The tournament will consist of two draws, a 2.5 and a 3.5, with both draws being a mixed/same gender doubles event. Prizes will be awarded to the winners and runners-up for both draws. There is a suggested donation of $20 to register for Tournament play, but all donations will be welcome. The tournament will take place at Kings Creek Country Club in Rehoboth Beach, with play from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the 2.5 draw, and from 1-5 p.m. for the 3.5 draw.
