Chelsea Legends boost African kids

Spitalfields Market last Tuesday, but vulnerable youngsters in Africa proved the real winners of the charity event. Twenty teams battled it out, with the winning team having the honour of showing off their skills against celebrated former Chelsea footballers including Paul Canoville, Colin Pates, Gary Chivers, Clive Wilson, Keith Dublin and Gary Stanley. The Legends were eventually beaten 2-0 by Ellis United n a specially constructed pitch at the market. The event was being held in aid of Glad’s House, which helps vulnerable young people in Kenya and Senkaa, a UK project committed to improving the lives of young people.
