Did you know that Jingle Bells was originally made by James Lord Pierpont to be a Thanksgiving song? Upon its initial release, its title was “One Horse Open Sleigh” before it was reissued two years after as “Jingle Bells.” This popular Christmas carol has also made history as the very first song to be played in space! On December 14, hear this song come to life as Shrewsbury Food Hub presents “Christmas Choir Fundraising Concert.” Happening at Radbrook Community Centre, Shrewsbury, you’re sure to have a great time as Jigsaw Sound will be singing various Christmas carols such Joy to the World, Carol of the Bells, and Silent Night. Proceeds from this festive event will go to Shrewsbury Food Hub so they can continue with their mission to “redistribute food and promote food waste reduction for environmental and social good.”
