If you’re looking for a good bass tournament this weekend on Guntersville Lake, the annual Guntersville Civitan Club charity event should be on your
list to consider. Set for Saturday at the Waterfront Ramp on Alabama 79, the event pays $2,000 guaranteed and 90 percent total payback. Profits are used to support local and area charities, and the club is known for putting on a fine event each year. Entry fee is $120 per boat. Additionally, with the warmer temperatures and a “new moon” in the sky the bass should be flooding the banks to spawn. It took about 26 pounds or so to win last weekend’s Secret Weapon tournament and this weekend I’d say it should take at least that much if not more to claim the top prize.
