ClubCorp Charity Classic Benefits MDA 2009: Oct 9

ClubCorp Charity Classic benefits MDA

On Oct.
9, golfers from all across the country will tee it up in the third annual 2009 ClubCorp Charity Classic. All the proceeds benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association and “Augie’s Quest,” an initiative within MDA that is an aggressive, cure-driven effort focused on treatments and cures for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). “We are thrilled to be able to open our clubs to the community during this exciting event,” said Bay Oaks Country Club general manager Patrick Pettit. “It’s an honor to be a part of ClubCorp’s massive celebration, but even more so to be a part of something that positively will touch the lives of so many.” The public is invited to play in what is dubbed as the “world’s largest golf and dining event.” More than 140 golf and country clubs, businesses and sports clubs around the country will open their courses and dining rooms for this event. Some 25,000 members, guests and patrons have participated in the tournament and dining events in the past. At Bay Oaks Country Club, lunch and registration will be held from 10 a.m.-noon, Oct. 9. The tournament will start at noon and the awards reception, raffle drawing and silent auction will begin at 5 p.m.
Entry fee is $125 per player or $500 per team. Dinner tickets are $25 for those who don’t play in the tournament. Raffle tickets for a resort package are $20.
