Linton Gamma Tau Chapter of Tri Kappa will host a Basket Bingo at 6:30 p.m.
on Feb. 19 in the Linton High School Auditeria. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for 20 games and may be purchased from any Tri Kappa member or by calling Marsha Brown at 847-7819 or Laura Robinson at 847-9392. Additional cards may be purchased for an additional $5. Tickets purchased in advance will go into a special drawing for the 2009 Sweetheart Basket. Cutoff for advanced ticket sales will be noon Feb. 19. There will be also be a silent auction. Game prizes and door prizes will be Longaberger items. Concessions will be available and this will be a smoke-free environment. You must be 18 years of age to attend. Curbside pick-up In observance of President’s Day, Ranard’s Hauling, Removal and Recycling will not run its Monday route. Regular service for Monday customers will resume Feb. 23. Worthington Town Council The Worthington Town Council will meet in special session at 5 p.m. on Thursday at the Worthington Municipal Building. The purpose of the session is to receive information about the formation of a fire territory. The meeting will be open to the public. Commissioner’s meeting rescheduled The regularly scheduled Monday meeting of the Greene County Commissioners has been changed for observance of President’s Day. The meeting will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the commissioner’s room, located on the third floor of the courthouse in Bloomfield. Also, all county offices will be closed on Monday because of the holiday.
