Jeremiah Curtin • May 3, 2009 The Association of Builders and Contractors of Western New York got together to network on April 16 at
the Thirsty Turtle in Victor. City resident Garrett Knotowicz, a commercial sale and lease account executive for Enterprise, is also an ABC board member. He volunteered to help organize the event and was able to choose the charity to benefit from the raffle, which raised $1,040 for Pluta. City resident Chad Witherell, an account executive at staffing firm Tradesman International, had many clients in the room at the event. “It’s important for nonunion contractors to network, and we share our workforce between them.” Jeremy Fisher of Pittsford is a marketing representative for Atlantic Testing Laboratories, which does testing on construction materials. He was there to “meet contractors and make contacts, as opposed to meeting them on the job. We all kind of work together.”
Gary Pooler of Canandaigua is president of Pooler Enterprises. He said he belongs to ABC because it “fits with our philosophy and advocates for our legislative interests. Regulatory bodies are regularly increasing our costs, which affects the cost to the homeowner.”
