Its that time of year again time for a good old-fashioned Hoedown and BBQ, all to benefit the men and women in blue who Protect and Serve us every day. Last years event wasa huge success and were thrilled to announce thatCops & Cowboys 2015will return to the Leonis Adobe Museum in Calabasas again this year on Saturday, September 12th. We are also honored to saluteSusan & Don Schwarz, MVAT FoundationandAaron Straussner, Esq. of Straussner/Shermanfor their dedication and commitment to our community and to the men and women in uniform especially our Van Nuys LAPD and in the surrounding areas. Dig out your jeans and your boots and be ready for a few surprises! Our fun filled evening will take you back to the late 1800s on the historic Leonis Adobe property where you can “belly up to the bar” for a cocktail or sarsaparilla under the stars, drop by the silent auction to pick up a few special bargains, and be sure to check out the tantalizing BBQ before you take to the dance floor to the music of a great country band. The LAPD will have their SWAT unit, Canine unit and Mounted Patrol on hand to visit with we’ll have a mechanical bull – or maybeyou’ll play a few rounds of poker or blackjack.
The evening begins at 6pm, the BBQ opens at 7:30, we have a brief program at 8:30 and the rest of the evening is up to you.
