Get involved A GENEROUS couple have celebrated their wedding in style &ndash by transforming their reception into a pink-themed charity fundraiser.
Dave Medlam and Sharon Llewellyn, from Pentrebane, Cardiff, raised money for Breast Cancer Care Cymru by charging guests a &pound5 fee to attend their reception at Cardiff Bowls Club, Sophia Gardens. Guests were even given the chance to play a game of bowls, while the Vale of Glamorgan Male Voice Choir performed at the event and there was a fundraising raffle and Irish bingo to keep everyone entertained. The happy couple aimed to generate &pound2,000 and chose to raise the money for the charity after a loved one died from the illness. Everyone who attended was told to wear pink and Sharon herself was taken to the ceremony in a pink limousine. Sharon, 46, told the Echo: “The whole day has been fabulous &ndash we haven’t sat down all day.
“It was even better than we thought it was going to be.
