Crossroads Community Church Offers 2 New Programs for Women

Elaine Meehan • Reader Submitted • May 5, 2009 Dedicated moms and busy women of all ages will find support, encouragement, and rejuvenation in
two new programs offered by Crossroads Community Church here in Hillsborough. In May, Crossroads is starting a local chapter of Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS). MOPS is an international organization for mothers with infants through kindergarten-age children offering community, mothering support, personal growth, fun, laughter, and spiritual hope. Through monthly meetings, moms get a chance to hear speakers on topics of interest to mothers, as well as express their creativity through crafts, enjoy some refreshments, and meet other moms in the Hillsborough area. Childcare (infants through pre-schoolers) is also available, so moms get a well-deserved break. The new MOPS group will meet once a month through the school year at Christian Community Chapel. The next meeting will be held on Friday, June 12. For more information, see . Throughout the year, smaller Girlfriends Unlimited groups will be formed for women to share common interests, such as scrapbooking, reading, exercise, cooking, etc. Not only will it be a time for fun, but also a time to reflect upon deeper issues as women build relationships with each other and investigate how faith can impact their lives. Crossroads wants to serve the women of the Hillsborough community by providing information and services which encourage and support them as they meet the needs of others and fulfill their many responsibilities. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call (908)431-4373.
