Dinner dances raise 19416375000

Nick Clemente’s daughter, Angela (6), has been receiving treatment at Yorkhill Children’s Hospital ever since she was born.
And the family decided to set up the Baby Angela Dinner Dance to raise funds to support the hospital and the excellent care given to their daughter. As Angela got older, the event was renamed The Miss Angela Dinner Dance. At the last dance at Bothwell Bridge Hotel in February, the Miss Angela event raised a terrific &pound15,000 through auction prizes and raffles at the well-attended evening. As well as fantastic support from local businesses, the Celtic Charity Foundation have contributed significantly towards the Miss Angela Dance Fund. The money raised will be used to buy much-needed items such as innovative medical equipment and also provide special support services for children and their families. Kirsten Sinclair, Community Fundraiser for Yorkhill Children’s Foundation, said: “The Miss Angela Dinner Dances have been a huge success, and we are incredibly grateful for the continued support of everyone involved with this event. An amazing amount of money has been raised in recent years, and it will be put to good use providing the ‘extra’ services and equipment which can help to make a child’s stay at Yorkhill Children’s Hospital as easy and comfortable as possible.” A HAMILTON couple’s plans for a sun-soaked wedding in Mexico have been dashed by the swine flu outbreak.
