NASHVILLE, Tenn.
– A mid-state museum was breathing life into pre-historic creatures. Highlands Prehistoric Museum in Cookeville was erecting a 40 foot tall cast of a genuine T-Rex skeleton. Visitors were welcome to watch as the life sized dinosaur was built. Paleontologist Jerry Jacene runs the museum. “This is a cast from the actual fossil of a live animal so when you look at this and see the strength and how big it was it’s just absolutely amazing,” said Jacene.
Jacene was also working on removing rock from the fossilized skeleton of another very rare dinosaur.
