Get involved LIVERPOOL city centre was transformed into Jurassic Park over the weekend when a family of dinosaurs appeared in the main shopping street.
A life-size Tyrannosaurus rex was joined by two baby dinosaurs in Church Street as part of an ambitious fundraising event. The creatures, complete with sound effects, were brought to the city centre by Lloyd Scott &ndash who is best known for completing the London marathon in a deep sea diving suit. He is “walking with dinosaurs” from Lands End to John O’Groats to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust charity. Lloyd, 47, beat leukaemia 20 years ago and was one of the very first recipients of a bone marrow transplant which saved his life. Since then, he has become a tireless charity fundraiser.
For his latest fundraising challenge, Lloyd began his journey at Lands End on July 19. He is accompanied throughout by the 13ft high, 30ft long dinosaur, which is being carried on a 25ft trailer.
