Get ready for a truly unforgettable challenge! This summer, CHAS is thrilled to be part of the Discovery Mast Climb – an exhilarating new event offering you the chance to scale the iconic masts of the RRS Discovery in Dundee. This is your moment to rise above the city, push your limits, and make a life-changing difference for children and families across Scotland.
Whether you’re an adrenaline seeker or simply looking for a unique way to support CHAS, this is an experience like no other. Feel the rush as you ascend the historic ship’s rigging and take in breathtaking views from the top – all while helping us continue our vital work providing compassionate hospice care.
In the old days, masts were primarily used to support the sails which allowed the ship to move forward. Nowadays, it is used as a central high point for essential equipment in modern ships such as radars, antennas, and navigation lights. Keep this trivia in mind as you scale the 80 feet foremast of the historic RRS Discovery. Register for Discovery Mast Climb 2026 here now.
