It’s Saturday morning, my day off, and a chance to sleep in.
But this morning, like many Saturday mornings this summer, my sleep was abruptly ended at 8 a. m. sharp. Drumming, screaming and even a megaphone. No, not a concert, not a war party marching past, a dragon boat. Barrie boasts one of the most beautiful waterfronts in Ontario, and dare I say the world. This beauty has drawn a great number of residents along the shore, along with condominiums and apartments, with a fantastic view.
For myself, and a large number of my neighbours, Saturday is one of two days a week I can sleep in.
