This week is Drug Action Week and there are heaps of things you can do to show your support.
The Alcohol and Other Drugs Council of Australia (ADCA) and community organisations have all rallied together for Drug Action Week 2007, organising events like the Festival for Youth, theatrical performances, basketball games and other fun and educational events all around Victoria (you’ll have to check the Calendar of National Events for more details).
The 2007 Drug Action Week has a set theme for each day, Drugs in Sport and Recreation, Treatment, Prevention, Indigenous Peoples, Drugs and Mental Health.
So many people and families are affected negatively by drug and alcohol abuse, but it’s never too late to address the problem. There are people who care.
The ADCA is a non-profit organisation working with government, non-government, business and community sectors to promote socially just, evidence-based approaches to the prevention and/or reduction of health, economic and social harm caused by alcohol and drugs use in individuals, families, communities and the country.
The 2007 ADCA supported Drug Action Week is on June 18 – 22
