A RECENT fundraising event at a well-known Dumfries restaurant must go down in a dog’s life as one of the best days ever.
Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue held a charity fundraising event at Casa Mia in Nunholm, Dumfries, and raised almost £3,500. The restaurant prepared and played host to a packed house and it turned out to be the biggest and best night ever for the Glencaple-based rescue organisation. After the very best of food and wine the fun-filled evening started off with the very best in live entertainment from local music duo Otis Jones. Well known for creating a party atmosphere, the “Kilted Duo of Pop” kept the dancers on the floor from the start to the very end. A short break from the music made time for entertainments of a different genre, an auction. Hosted by special guest, BBC Scotland’s football pundit and Sun columnist, Des McKeown who was, as always Mr Entertainment himself.
The jokes and anecdotes were flowing as much as the wine.
