Events Firm Has A Ball In Darwin 2009: Port Douglas

Events firm has a ball in Darwin

A PORT Douglas events management company has recently completed a major contract in Darwin creating a trio of events for an corporate conference.
Hannafords Events, owned and operated by Amelia and Nick Hannaford, have been producing original special events for the past 15 years in Australia and the Asia-Pacific. This year the team was asked to create magic in Darwin, ensuring the special and historical elements of Australias top end city were interwoven into the event theme. The project involved taking a team of nine to Darwin including four chefs from Port Douglas caterer Platinum Cuisine and enlisting a cast of hundreds Darwin suppliers and crew to create the authentic events. Showcased in the program was a traditional Northern Territory rodeo held at the Royal Darwin Showground. According to Hannafords Events sales manager, Natalie Shearer, Hannafords manufactured rodeo attracted strong betting on the tote which was all donated to an Australian childrens charity. “The real highlight of our Darwin adventure was created at the historical Darwin Aviation Museum,” Ms Shearer said.
“Guests were treated to a piece of Australian history during pre-dinner drinks inside the hangar of the famous B52 Bomber.”
