Falcon notes August 23

First in Falcon sports from the weekend is women’s soccer.
Air Force kicked off their season, Friday against Regis with a 2-1 loss. Chelsea Bokan and Jordan Miller each had a goal for Regis. The Falcons went back to work Sunday afternoon against University of Colorado – Colorado Springs at the Academy. Both teams played tough, but the game ended in a scoreless tie. Freshmen (Versailles, KY) and local product Wrendy Rayhill (Colorado Springs, CO) combined for seven shots on goal for Air Force. The Falcons (0-1-1) return to the field August 28 in Fayetteville, AR for the Razorback/Adidas Classic. Second in Air Force headlines is (La Quinta, CA), who will play in his second USGA Amataur after qualifying in Boulder on August 3. Whitney will travel to Tulsa, OK to take part in the four-day event beginning August 24. He will attempt to beat out a field of 312 golfers.
