Floral Art Evening Brings History and Design Together

A museum evening showcases floral designs inspired by historic collections while supporting local artists and cultural programming.

The Custom House Museum & Cultural Center (CHMM) will welcome guests on April 17 at 6:00 PM for a special evening that brings art, nature, and history together. The event invites the community to see the museum’s collections through a fresh lens—interpreted in floral form by local artists and gardening groups.

Attending supports the museum’s role as a cultural hub, where themed galleries and historical narratives are made accessible through creative programming. The night offers a relaxed way to engage with the museum while backing exhibitions and experiences that connect people to place, story, and craft.

Following the opening, the floral displays remain available for public viewing over the weekend, extending the experience and keeping the community involved beyond a single evening.

Experience the opening night and support local creativity.

Join us on April 17th at 6 pm to view floral arrangements designed by local artists and gardening and horticultural clubs inspired by the museum’s collections. The evening will feature a silent auction for guests to bid on the arrangements.
