Football is about spirit, strength and the fight to win. Those touched by cancer share a similar journey and need the same strength and courage to win their individual fight.
Footy Colours Day – always the first Friday in September – is the Fight Cancer Foundation’s national fundraising event and is the one day in September to fight cancer and help save lives.
Thousands of Australians unite and don their favourite football team’s colours – AFL – NRL – Rugby Union – Soccer – to help.
You will be joining Jack Trengove – Melbourne Football Club Captain, Michael Crocker – South Sydney Rabbitohs, Phil Waugh – former New Siouth Wales Waratahs Captain and Erik Paartalu – Brisbane Roar who are lending their support in 2012.
Footy Colours Day is fun, easy to organise and a great opportunity to enjoy a footy-themed morning tea, a trivia quiz, art competition, decorate your space or simply have a casual day, make a donation to Fight Cancer Foundation and support fellow Australians living with cancer.
