For more than 35 years, the friendly, recognizable voice of Bill Nance has been heard on the radio airwaves in the Miami Valley &mdash
so long that many fans consider him a member of their extended family. This summer, Nance is celebrating his 20th anniversary as host of Morningview, the wake-up radio program at 93.7 WFCJ-FM. His morning program, co-hosted for the last ten years with Melody Morris, begins at 6 a.m. on weekdays. Before he moved to WFCJ, Nance spent 15 years on the air at WING-AM radio, with stops at WAVI-AM and WDAO-FM radio in Dayton. Nance’s survival in the radio world is a unique feat in a profession where personalities come and go. Nance is humble about his accomplishments. “It has just been a real joy to be a part of so many lives for all this time,” he said. “The fans are loyal and very kind in letting us know they appreciate our radio work.”
According to Nance, the survival situation at WFCJ is “one for the record books.”
