International Womens Day Run Run/Walk 2009, in memory of Kerryn McCann.
Chicks in pink – the breast cancer charity are this year’s beneficiary of annual International Women’s Day fun run.
Join over 6,000 females for the 5km Brisbane Road Runners leisurely stroll or energetic fun run along the Brisbane River. chicks in pink fund a range of initiatives for patients at the Mater Breast Cancer Centre and Mater Hospitals.
Over 12,000 women suffer from breast cancer every year and 700 are Mater patients.
Participants can win prizes including gift vouchers, fitness packs, accommodation packages and dining vouchers plus their will be prizes for running places.
Date: Sunday 8 March, 2009
Time: 7- 10am
Where: Cultural Forecourt, South bank Parklands
Entrants: $25 for individuals or $80 for a team of 4. All entrants receive a
T- shirt and race pack on completion.
