As part of a week of activities leading up to the International Women’s Day on March 8, the International Women’s Development Agency are hosting an evening of celebration entitled Stories of Strength.
The International Women’s Day is a global celebration of the economic, political and social achievements of women, it was first held in 1909.
The evening will feature talks by IWDA Program Managers about the work done by the organisation around the world, as well as performances by local female musicians.
The 2008 International Women’s Day Stories of Strength will be held at Princes Hill, on the March 6, running from 5:30pm – 9:00pm.
