5:23 p.m., Sunday, May 31, 2009 Interior Design hosts open house The faculty and staff at the Institute of Interior Design in Estero will
have an open house for those interested in the field of interior design. The open house is free to the public and offers participants a chance to view students’ work, take a tour, and hear about the industry firsthand from guest speaker Pam Durkin, president-elect of the South Florida chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers. Visitors may learn about their future in design during the informational session and find out more about financial aid options, such as the $7,000 Smart Choices High School Scholarship, for those who qualify. The open house will be held on Thursday, June 4, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Institute of Interior Design, located within the International Design Center at 10800 Corkscrew Road, Suite 280, in Estero.
