Kate Winslet was on her third stylist as she sought to achieve a perfect look for the Oscars tonight.
The six time Academy Award nominee, who was hoping to take home the best actress statuette, wanted a look that would be a wow on the Red Carpet, but also comfortable to wear. ‘It has been difficult to find the right balance of having a dress that’s fun to wear and that I also feel good wearing. Being on the red carpet is a privilege and you have a great time but I want to get it right,’ the 33-year-old said. She has kept her hair and make-up designer because she has been happy in what she terms the ‘hair department’, but wanted to try out other ideas with regards to gowns. The actress tried to put thoughts of what to wear aside as she and husband Sam Mendes had a quiet supper on last night.
Mendes flew into Los Angeles yesterday from New York where he had been previewing a production of The Winter’s Tale in Brooklyn.
