Royal Mail received an unusual item in the post today: a giant clear envelope of discarded rubber bands bundled together from Keep Britain Tidy.
People from around the country sent in more than 13 000 little red strips of litter for the campaign, after the charity targeted postal workers for throwing the bands all over London Streets. Royal Mail currently spends 1M a year replacing the rubber bands, and has acknowledged the problem of littering among employees.
Assembled together, the collected rubber bands made a massive parcel that Keep Britain Tidy labeled Return To Sender.
