Kennedy Had Soft Spot And Bear Hugs For Palm Beach Photographer 2009: Palm Beach

Kennedy had soft spot and bear hugs for Palm Beach photographer

Palm Beach Post Staff Writer Palm Beach photographer Bob Davidoff was familiar with all the Kennedys, so much so that he could casually let
himself in through the kitchen door and felt free to help himself to a sandwich at their counters when the clan was in town. He was like family to all of the Kennedys "But of all the Kennedys besides Rose, he was closest to the Senator. They had a buddy relationship," says Linda orley, who picked Davidoff's brains about his life photographing America's most photogenic family every Friday evening for more than a year. The result: A 206-page book the family at work and at play, in shorts and in tuxedos. The book is about the family, but there's an equally fair story about the man who made the pictures and one of the sons who was often in them.
Davidoff and Senator Edward M. Kennedy joked. They hugged. They told tales.
