In the tender world of childhood, where laughter should reign, there exists a cruel adversary: pediatric cancer. The importance of addressing this issue cannot be overstated, for it robs the youngest of their innocence and families of their joy. Together, we must stand as a beacon of hope, relentlessly pursuing cures and better treatments, so every child may reclaim their rightful chance at a vibrant and healthy future.
At the forefront of the battle against pediatric cancer stands Monash Children’s Hospital, a beacon of healing and hope for countless families. Through innovative research, state-of-the-art treatments, and unwavering support, they are dedicated to ensuring that no child’s story is defined by cancer, but rather by resilience and recovery.
Monash Children’s Hospital continues their commitment to children’s health and well-being with an exciting event—the Kids Fun Run, scheduled for November 26, supported by the Rotary Club of Emerald & District. This family-friendly event promises a day of joy and camaraderie as participants dash through a fun-filled course, with all proceeds directly benefiting the hospital’s vital work in fighting children’s cancer. It’s a memorable opportunity to make a difference, together with your community.
In recent years the Kids Fun Run has supported The Monash Children’s Cancer Centre which is an integral part of the new Monash Children’s Hospital and cares for approximately 30% of Victoria’s childhood cancer patients.
In 2023 our Kids Fun Run With Puffing Billy will be supporting the same wonderful cause.
Cost of entry in a run – $25 per child
