Leading Ladies39 Literary Poses 2009: Sienna Miller

Leading ladies39 literary poses

Sienna Miller and Emily Blunt brought a touch of English glamour to Hollywood as they stepped out in support of Unicef.
The British actresses were among 12 leading ladies whose portraits were unveiled at the gala, and will later be auctioned off for the charity. In the portraits, each of the glamorous actresses, including Susan Sarandon, Milla Jovovich and Christina Ricci, portrayed favourite literary heroines. Eva Longoria portrayed Scarlett from Gone With The Wind in her picture. She said: “I think it’s great that tonight these portraits are going to be auctioned off to support literacy programmes all over the world because I believe education is the key out of poverty for a lot of these nations, and we are fortunate in America that we have these laws in place to protect people, to demand children get an education. “But this tonight is raising funds for those who don’t have that opportunity.” A pregnant Mira Sorvino said taking part was “really a good will thing – I think all of us are very excited and pleased to support this effort”.
Burlesque star Dita Von Teese, who also attended the event at Paramount Studios, said she was looking forward to “a little glass of champagne and a little entertainment and, you know, being here for the cause”.
