Submitted by Rhonda Sauro • May 7, 2009 Crowds continue to grow as The Liberty Idol enters into 3rd week of Auditions.
Contestants are coming from across the upstate to compete for $6,000 in total cash prizes. Event is attracting the attention of people in Atlanta, LA and Nashville. This is a family oriented event where it is free to enter and free to watch. The real story is that the audience and the contestants have shaped this event into something reminiscent of a small town family reunion with thousands of people. The Ronald McDonald House of the Carolinas is the Liberty Idol 2009 Charity of Choice. In 2008 over $5000 was raised for the Ronald McDonald House. This year will also see the addition of extra pre show features each evening at 5PM as well as a 1st Annual Liberty Idol Golf Tournament on July 17th.
