The London Night Hike will run on the 14th September raise money for Maggie’s cancer charity.Amongst the participants is Richard Smith, a 36 year old, who has beaten testicular cancer twice, will undertake the 17-mile course which follows the route of the London underground’s circle line.
The hike will raise money for Maggie’s Cancer Charity. Maggie’s centre’s allow cancer sufferers and their families deal with living with Cancer by offering a non institutional environment close to major hospitals.
Richard Smith stated to the Edinburgh Evening News, “I used Maggies when I was ill and they filed the gap in the health service…The NHS pushes you through, and after, you’re left to your own devices. Maggie’s takes people from the diagnosis and takes them through it. It’s a free service with no appointments needed, for anyone affected. It’s fantastic.”
Participants will be able to experience a night time trip on the London Eye as well as pasing Sommerset House and City Hall.
