Margo to paddle again!

The paddle will launch from Pier 17 at South Street Seaport and circumnavigate the island before ending in Battery Park at the North Cove Marina. The event will also showcase some of the world’s top paddlers and surfers. This paddle is not a race, but an endurance charity event. The proceeds of the event benefit the following organizations: Surfers Healing which seeks to enrich the lives of children with autism and the lives of the families by exposing them unique experience of surfing. Autism NJ, a nonprofit which provides information and advocacy, family and professional education, and which encourages responsible Autism is a complex neurobiological disorder that typically lasts throughout a person’s lifetime. It is part of a group of disorders known as the autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Today, 1 in 150 individuals is diagnosed with autism, making it more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined.
