Held in The Tea Rooms QVB on Thursday 7th August at 6:30pm, the Mary MacKillop Foundation brings together political and corporate chiefs of Australia for a memorable night of entertainment and networking and the big winners are Australians in need. We are thrilled to announce the guest speaker for 2014 is Miss Ita Buttrose AO OBE.

It is a night of glamour and merriment, networking and entertainment, but the good fun is also for a good cause. With the help of generous corporate support and an auction during the event, the dinner raises much-needed funds for the Foundation.

Just as St Mary MacKillop responded to the needs of her time in ways that maintained human dignity, the work of the Foundation helps improve the lives of Australians today by providing funding for small life changing projects. Every year, the Mary MacKillop Foundation gives grants of up to $10,000 to small life-changing projects around the country. These projects work at community level to alleviate the effects of poverty and marginalisation, helping refugees, indigenous Australians, people with a disability or mental illness, and people living in regional and remote areas. Since 1995, the Mary MacKillop Foundation has funded more than 535 of these small life-changing projects and, in doing so; we support those unknown Aussie heroes who are already making a real difference.
