One of the absolute highlights of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, one of the three largest comedy events world-wide, has to be the opening night Gala.
And this year’sGalaisnotgoing to disappoint, with an unfortunately already sold out super show.
Presented by the Ten Network and raising funds for Oxfam Australia, the Gala showcases the best and biggest names in comedy that the Festival has to offer.
International guests at this year’s Comedy Festival include Daniel Kitson, The Jim Henson Company, Danny Bhoy, and Ross Noble. Who’ll be rivaled by Australian comic talents Adam Hills, Dave Hughes, Cameron Knight, Merrick & Rosso, Charlie Pickering, Corrinne Grant, Jimeoin, The Scared Weird Little Guys, Rod Quantock, Tripod, the Umbilical Brothers and many many more unbelievably hilarious larrikins.
The Comedy Festival will also have its annual Guinness Great Debate, Short Film Festival and Raw Comedy competition – giving up and comings, what’s coming to them.
