Adelaide nurse Marie Whitehead of Enfield is finally sailing for home after two-month mission serving on the Africa Mercy.
Marie will be coming back to Australia at the end of June after volunteering as a nurse for a remarkable charity organization. Mercy Ships create floating hospitals to travel across the world, providing free health services and community care to poor and disease-stricken areas.
The lifelong charity activist and humanitarian described her life-changing experience onboard by explaining, “I have had a huge awakening. Hopefully, it will stay with me in the future.
After sailing though her extraordinary mercy mission, Marie will be welcome home to Adelaide.
